Doom Man – What Does It Say About You

1 06 2009

No free downloads on this one, my main man Doom has just dropped his latest single ‘what does it say about you’… absoloutely dope tune, the beat is FIRE, and doom man always comes out with the sickest flow backed with the realest lyrics. Hence the reason i’ve been backing him since day 1! I remember sitting in the studio about 4years ago with Major and Doom (back when it was no appologies) just before the release of ‘Have you any flows’. Now im telling you Doom is up there in my ranking of Top Mcs…

Kanye West’s Book To Hit Stores

25 05 2009

Kanye West is best known for his musical abilities. However, Mr.West has also branched out into various other endeavors including work in fashion and film. Now, he has linked up with philosopher/author J. Sakiya Sandifer to release “Thank You and You’re Welcome.”

West aknowledged that Sandifer was the inspiration behind the book from the jump.

He inspired the format of the book, because he wrote a book called ’Think, Think, Think and Think Again.’ [He did] bullet points in bold graphics, and he expounded upon them … whereas books hide the main points chapters in. You have to read so much to get so much out of it. We wanted to make it simple for people who are non-readers, who don’t feel like doing all that, and still get the point across” he toldMTV.com. After taking the more simple aproach to the book, another one may be in the works. However, it will not be a second installment of a series.

“It’s just gonna be another collection of our ideas and theories,” Sandifer added.“It’s not gonna be like ’Thank You and You’re Welcome Volume Two.’ I think that would be limiting.” In a statement, West added what this book was all about.

My book is a guide to creating then celebrating your moment.”

Currently the book can be picked up on Kanye’s site for only ten dollars. The book will hit store shelves July 7.

Fat Joe’s Album Pushed Back

25 05 2009

The latest album from Fat Joe, J.O.S.E. 2, missed out on its Super Tuesday release date due to insufficient promotion, according to a statement from the rapper issued toXXLMag.com.

“We wanted to make sure we had a second single in the marketplace,” Joey Crack said. “We dropped the first single with Akon and will be coming soon with the T-Pain joint.”

The album was scheduled for release last Tuesday (May 19) along with new discs by Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Method Man & Redman, and DJ Drama. The Terror Squad leader initially addressed the album delay in a Twitter message, placing the blame on a sample clearance issue.

Still without a release date as of press time, the sequel to Joe’s 2001 platinum album will also feature cameos from Lil Wayne, Ron Browz, Lil Kim, Fabolous, Ne-Yo, and Raekwon.
